- Arm chair with about 46-cm [18 in] seat height and 65-cm [25.6 in] arm height for the BBS, & TUG.
- Armless chair about 46-cm [18 in] seat height (bed can substitute for chair without armrests) for the BBS.
- Armless chair about 43-cm [17 in] seat height for the 5x sit to stand test.
- Step/Foot stool-approximately 21 cm for the BBS.
- An object to pick up off the floor (e.g., shoe / slipper) for the BBS.
- Ruler indicating 2, 5, and 10 inches for the BBS.
- Level surface of at least 15 meters (50 ft) with good traction for the gait speed, & TUG.
- Colored Tape or cone for the gait speed, & TUG.
- 25 foot tape measure for the gait speed, & TUG.
